HOUSTON – An investigation is ongoing after one person was killed and two others injured in a shooting at a southwest Houston clothing store on Tuesday, Houston Police Department officers said.

Police say they were reported while a shooting was in progress during a shootout in the strip center parking lot at 11503 Southwest Fwy around 10 p.m.

Officers said when they arrived at the scene, they found a 25- to 30-year-old man dead from gunshot wounds in the store. Two other men were shot and taken to hospital, HPD said. Police said one of the men is in stable condition, the other, 31, is in critical condition. Police said they also found narcotics in plain sight.

Investigators say the victims were inside the clothing store at the time of the shooting. Detectives said at that time they had video of events outside the store but not inside.

Officers said the motive for the shooting appears to be robbery. There are no descriptions of known suspects at this time.

Anyone with information about this shooting is asked to contact the HPD Homicide Division at (713) 308-3600 or speak anonymously with Crime Stoppers at (713) 222-TIPS.
