Analysts have given conflicting views on iPhone 14 sales, but leading partner Foxconn reported a new monthly revenue record on the back of “stormy” demand for the iPhone 14 Pro.

The company said it is positive on its current quarter outlook, although it is cautious about the impact of ongoing supply chain issues and inflation…

CNBC reports about Foxconn’s new revenue record in September.

Foxconn said September revenue reached 822.3 billion US dollars and 25.9 billion US dollars, an increase of 40.4% year-on-year and 83.2% higher than August, the company’s monthly sales record.

This strong revenue growth was driven by “new product launches and mass production” and the good performance of the consumer electronics products segment, which includes the key mobile phone business. Foxconn did not name its customers, including Apple, in its earnings release.

Neil Shah, partner at Counterpoint Research, said Foxconn’s record comes on the back of “stormy demand” for the higher-priced iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max models, which were launched last month.

The company expressed positive expectations for the rest of the quarter.

While Foxconn has maintained its outlook for years, the company said on Tuesday that it had a “more cautious” outlook for the fourth quarter.

“Inflation trends, epidemics, and the supply chain still need to be closely monitored,” Foxconn said.

There have been conflicting reports about demand for the iPhone 14. Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo last month reported that Apple had asked Foxconn to increase production of the iPhone 14 Pro by 10%, before Bloomberg claims that the Cupertino company has abandoned plans to produce about 6 million more units by the end of the year. The latest report says nothing about the split.

But the strong demand for the iPhone 14 Pro seems to be supported by both reviewers and analysts. Reviewers almost universally say that anyone planning to upgrade to the iPhone 14 model should think again.

Commentators Dan Ives and Amit Daryanani agree with this.

“In terms of foundation [iPhone 14] compared to the price, it is very compelling [buy the iPhone 14 Pro]”-Ives

“The data continues to point to strong demand for the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max, which could have a positive impact on the combination of discounts.” – Amit Daryanani

Carrier “subsidies” – where the price of the phone is reduced to $200, $100, or even nothing – are also back in style, where most of the money is hidden in the monthly plan payment. Many users pay a lot of attention to the first system of coins.
