In what could be a first, Tech titan Apple may ship the latest version of its iPhone from India almost at the same time as China. Until now, Apple’s iPhone 13, which is the flagship product of the company, is manufactured by Apple’s contract manufacturing partner Foxconn at a facility near Chennai.

However, prominent security analyst Ming Chi Kuo tweeted that Foxconn may soon start shipping new iPhones from India and China at the same time.

He tweeted, “My latest research shows that Foxconn’s iPhone manufacturing site in India will ship the new iPhone 6.1” 14 almost simultaneously with China for the first time in 2H22 (India it was a quarter or more in the past).

In a tweet released by Kuo, he tweeted: “In the short term, India’s iPhone/shipment capacity still has a large gap with China, but it is an important development for Apple in building a non-Chinese iPhone production unit.”

He also stated that Apple sees India as a key growth driver for the company and tweeted, “This shows that Apple is trying to reduce the impact of the political environment on supply and sees the Indian market as a key driver of future growth.” .”

Apple started manufacturing iPhones in India in 2017 with the iPhone SE. He is currently manufacturing some of his biggest iPhones in the country including iPhone 11, iPhone 12, and iPhone 13.

The flagship iPhone 13 features advanced 5G technology, and offers high-speed performance and improved power with the A15 Bionic chip, long battery life, and a long-lasting design.

The iPhone 13 is available to customers in India at the same time as the US, among other markets – a first for the country.

Apple has a long history in India, which started more than 20 years ago. Apple launched its online store in September 2020, and is set to continue its commitment to the country with the launch of the upcoming Apple Store.

Taiwanese suppliers and joint ventures Foxconn and Pegatron are ramping up manufacturing efforts as Apple prepares to launch its new iPhone in September.

The iPhone maker has told suppliers that China has begun enforcing a long-standing rule that states that parts of Taiwan must be labeled “Taiwan, China” or “Chinese Taipei” if heard the report, citing sources familiar with the matter. .
