Description:

This recall includes 9-inch black rubber Swift straps sold with the Swift Zeitgeist Package, Catalyst Package, Kestrel Handlebar Bag, Bandito Bike Bag, and Handlebar Foam Spacer Kits. Straps were also sold individually or supplied with the bags. The strap has a printed fox graphic near the buckle.

Remedy:

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled Swift straps attached to bike bags, discard them and contact Swift Industries for a free replacement strap. Swift is in contact with all known buyers.

Incidents/Injuries:

The firm received 129 reports of belt breaks. No injuries were reported.

Sold in:

Recreation Equipment Coop (REI) and EVO Sporting Goods stores, various bike shops and other stores nationwide and online at https://builtbyswift.com, www.rei.com, www.huckberry.com and www. evo.com from March 2022 through July 2022 for $5-$10 when sold individually, or $100-$200 when sold as part of a Swift bike bag.
