Apple iPhone 14 is now available for purchase in India. If you are planning to buy a new iPhone or have already ordered one, here is something you must do. According to a TechCrunch report, iPhone 14 buyers are advised to update their device to iOS 16.0.1. It’s an iPhone 14-only update that comes with a fix for a bug that causes activation and migration issues. Users are advised to apply the update while setting up their phones to avoid any issues.

Apple iOS 16.0.1 also fixes issues with images appearing soft when zoomed in landscape mode on the iPhone 14 Pro Max. It also solves the authentication problem for Enterprise single sign-on applications. Readers must note that this iPhone 14-only update must be installed manually. It is not an automatic security update.

Currently, the support of iOS 16 exceeds the number of support of its predecessor- iOS15. According to Mixpanel, the iOS 16 adoption rate was 6.74% within 24 hours of launch. This is higher compared to its predecessor iOS 15 which had an adoption rate of 6.48% after one day. All software updates pale in comparison to iOS 14’s 9.22% support one day after its release in 2020.

With iOS 16, iPhone users will have new ability to customize their lock screen such as color, font and placement. iPhone users can also share iCloud photo library with up to five other people. They can share all previous photos, or use the settings tool to contribute specific photos based on the start date or people. The app also allows users to customize their phone’s lock screen. Another feature that comes with iOS 16 is the ability to edit iMessage. Users can edit a message up to 15 minutes after sending it. iOS 16 also allows iPhone users to share Tab Groups in Safari with friends. Anyone can add their own tabs and see instant Tab Group updates as they work together.
